Taste Bachelder Wines with Thomas Bachelder

Join us on March 18, 2021, at 3:00 pm Eastern as we sit down for a private tasting with Thomas Bachelder of Bachelder Wines.

The first 20 registered members will receive 4oz samples of the 2018 Wismer-Parke "Wild West End" Pinot Noir, VQA Twenty Mile Bench, and the 2018 Wismer-Wingfield "Ouest" Chardonnay, VQA Twenty Mile Bench. These wines are superior expressions of Niagara Peninsula single-vineyard choice wines.

Together we’ll not only get a chance to taste these wines, but we’ll take a deeper dive and explore the nuances and winemaking with Thomas. There could not be a better way to explore a wine than with its winemaker truly.

About Bachelder Wines

What makes Bachelder Niagara wines unique is that they are made from fruit Thomas personally selects from what he deems to be the best plots in Niagara. His bottles have been garnering interest among wine lovers since the label began in 2009.

Bachelder makes wines from local terroirs using ‘wild’ (indigenous) yeasts and using organic vineyards wherever possible. Everything goes to barrel for long aging.

The intent is to make pure, suavely-textured wines that sing lightly and clearly of their vineyard origins with as little makeup as possible. Bachelder looks to make wines that are finely-perfumed and tightly-wound, offering the classic, refined fruit and textured minerality of the delicate silt, clay, and dolomitic limestone-laced ancient lakebed terroirs of Niagara.

Special thanks to Steven Campbell for donating the wines for the event.

Wines will be available for pickup on Tuesday, March 17, 2021, downtown Toronto.
