I am a Canadian female, who has begun my second career in the Food & Wine profession. After some soul searching and self-learning I have found my passion in this industry, where I would like to achieve a professional level in practice and knowledge, then share this with my community and others. The F&W industry is ever-changing, and evolving, and is part of everyone's lifestyle in one way or another. I am blessed to have found my calling, I am enthusiastic and hopeful to get the support, mentorship, and education to achieve my goals.

A male, Black, Canadian sought-after Director of Photography with a 46-year track record is a scarce resource. My world view was shaped early on as a descendant of ancestors who born into colonialism. In no small measure, I am like most Canadians, a settler on Turtle Island. My origins lie in distant lands, and I am Kittitian, English Cuban, and French. But this is my home and where I will turn a fresh lens on untold stories from a unique, perspective that adds to the storied fabric of this country. As a child of the 60's I grew up with prejudice and racial inequality. Despite this, I have worked tirelessly to help others to have their voices heard. I have pursued community engagement, teaching African heritage to youth, sponsoring refugees, and dedication to my chosen craft. My career has been founded on skills development paired with mentorship of students at Ryerson University and Sheridan. Being chosen to participate in The Diversity of Voices program act as a springboard accelerating my journey as a storyteller, for the diverse people whose voices have not been heard from...yet.

Stephanie is currently a sommelier at Nightingale and has been in the hospitality industry over the last 18 years. She has obtained her WSET 3, French and Spanish Wine Scholars, and is in the process of completing her Italian Wine Scholar through the Wine Scholar Guild. Aside from wine, Stephanie is passionate about whiskey and has also started studies with the Council of Whiskey Masters.

In her spare time, she enjoys pottery, backcountry activities, snowboarding, and ballet. Interdisciplinary proficiency has always been a continual pursuit and mindset, as she relishes in the way various skillsets and branches of knowledge inform and bridge with one another.

Hi! I’m Phoebe. I'm currently pursuing wine studies and considering expanding my career path to integrate the world of wine. I had recently completed a semester of study in Wines at George Brown College and I'm looking for opportunities to learn more about wine, the making of wine, and to get hands-on experience in a winery or on a vineyard. I'm planning to continue studies in Wine and plan to pursue the WSET diploma. In addition to enjoying wine as an immersive experience, I'm interested in the historical, cultural, technical and geographical aspects of wine and winemaking. Biodynamic and sustainable practices are highly interesting to me. I'm also an advocate for diversity and representation and I'm interested in learning in spaces where there is room for women and women of color to grow.

With over 12 years in startup and corporate roles, I have cultivated a versatile skill set from the worlds of VR and AR tech, luxury retail, consulting, corporate communications and more. My primary strengths revolve around leading communications and marketing strategies via content creation and crafting high quality content and innovative and immersive experiences.
