Originally from Taiwan and new to Toronto, I am currently working as a server at a Michelin-starred restaurant. I’m eager to enhance my knowledge and skills to become more valuable in the hospitality industry.

I work in the wine industry at Downtown Winery and aim to advance my expertise through WSET and the 2024-2025 CAPS Certified Sommelier program at George Brown College.

I am a dentist by trade, but deeply interested in and passionate about wine and want to make a future career out of it. I have been working with a winemaker learning the ins and outs and am fascinated each day.

New to wine and food-focused media but have been working in documentary production for years while pursuing food, agriculture and wine as hobbies. Now I'm looking to pair them and create media and documentaries exploring wine regions, wine makers and innovative practices.

I am currently hold the position of portfolio manager at Intra Vino Inc. I am also currently studying at Sommelier Factory. I am taking their Certifified Sommelier course.

I have also taken 3 different courses at George Brown College. Wines #1, Wines #2 and Sensory and Evaluation of wine.

I have worked in service for a restaurant as well.

Being of Indian heritage means that food makes up 80% of my family's conversations. Having a husband who operates an organic vegetable farm doesn't help much, either! This environment meant an career path that inevitably ended up in food.

I'm a designer of 19 years. I spent 10 years in Ottawa, where governmental agencies kept me busy but not terribly inspired. Moving to SW Ontario in 2009 presented me with the opportunity to work with small businesses and real people.

In my past life I was an electrical engineer which made me no stranger to project management, budgets and timelines.

I dearly love the Ontario food & beverage industry (see husband's farm, above!), and very much want to elevate the status of Ontario wine to the international stage. And I passionately believe that packaging and branding play an integral role in differentiation and perceived value of a product.
