I am fascinated with the wine industry and have decided to take my hobby a little more seriously this year and begin my wine education. My background is in structural engineering but I love to learn about the different regions and the way the soils/climate influence the growth of the vines.

I have attended culinary school in 2013 and as well during covid I got certified as a wine merchant. Currently I am doing some refreshing online learning for bartender certification. I do have my smart serve and my goal is to be a well round chef and i am looking forward to get my red seal. The reason that I havent gone further to get more of my certifications because of my financial issues.

I recently opened up PhatBar Bakery & Cafe, a dessert Bar in Edmonton. We are focused on mixing wine, beer and cocktails with desserts in an evening setting. A lover of wine, I have recently starting the formal education of wine in order to better serve the customers at the spot. I finished my Level 1 WSET in wines and looking to go further.

I currently work in a restaurant as a server and have done sommelier shifts before. We have an extensive old world list (France and Italy) and I would love to invest in myself in learning more about wine.

I founded the Wine Consul, a wine event education business platform 4 years ago. I studied in Niagara College and was exposed to some industry aspects at the college. Then I entered IWEG to pursue WSET1-3 and Italian Wine Scholar, Ambassador programs with Wines of Greece, Argentina, Chile and Portugal and 2 years later achieving the Spanish Wine Scholar with the highest honors.
I am now pursuing a career in Wine education and planning to take the FWS, CWS plus the Educator levels for Sherry and Cava.
